Télécom Paris strengthens its ties with Indonesia
07 March 2025
Télécom Paris met with teams responsible for the scientific, technological, and academic sectors at the French Embassy in Indonesia.
Visits were also conducted at the three top Indonesian universities in our fields:
- Universitas Indonesia (UI)
- Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB)
- Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)
Additionally, two meetings were held with teams from Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN*) to explore potential collaborations.
This mission represents a decisive step in strengthening ties between Indonesia and Télécom Paris. Our school already has academic partnerships with Indonesian institutions through FICEM and a research connection via the FEFr funding program on Transdisciplinary Research Strategy on Crisis Management & Population Resilience, obtained by Prof. Caroline Rizza, a faculty member specializing in Information and Communication Sciences.
The various discussions helped identify several opportunities for academic mobility and research, paving the way for promising future collaborations. We look forward to sharing the concrete projects that will emerge from these exchanges.
* BRIN (Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency) has brought together all of the country’s research centers since 2021.
** FICEM (French-Indonesian Consortium for Engineering and Management) brings together eight major engineering and management schools from Institut Mines-Télécom and ten Indonesian universities. It is the first consortium of its kind between France and Indonesia, established in 2015.
*** FEFr (Fonds Équipe France) is a funding mechanism that supports projects aimed at developing or strengthening local ecosystems for the benefit of local populations.
