Frédéric Grillot, Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, France and The University of New-Mexico, USA, receives the Innovation Awards in Quantum Sensing and Nano Electronics and Photonics for his extensive work in the field of photonics and in particular with regard to quantum dot lasers and high-speed transmissions in the mid-infrared.
These awards recognize the outstanding scientific contribution of students and outstanding scientists who present the most notable recent discoveries with broad impact in the areas of quantum sensing and nano electronics and photonics. These discoveries are innovative in that they represent a new paradigm or way of thinking which have a broad impact in their respective field.
