Degree programs
The Double Degree label is a European « trademark » implying that a partnership agreement exists between the institutions involved. It is a guarantee of the strong mutual trust on which the relationship between these institutions is built.
Télécom Paris students have the opportunity to study abroad through DD programs at 42 institutions around the world. These programs enable students to earn a degree from both Télécom Paris and the host university.
For students to earn a degree from the host university, they must spend at least 18 months abroad. This period may either be entirely devoted to study or include study and internship periods in the host country.
Students may earn a degree provided that they have successfully completed their program in the foreign institution from which they will also receive a degree and that they have fulfilled all the academic requirements at Télécom Paris.

You may study abroad through a Master’s program at a partner or non-partner university. This usually takes the form of a degree program ranging from 12 to 24 months of study. As with the DD programs, Master’s programs include studies and projects or internships. If you obtain the required credits, you will receive a degree from both Télécom Paris and your host university.
Please be aware that if the program is not offered through a partner university, you will have to bear the costs.

Non degree programs
As part of a non-diploma course abroad, Télécom Paris students may choose to complete one or two semesters at a university or a partner school.
The students concerned by this section must complete an engineering internship, either before or after their study abroad period. If this internship is carried out once students have returned to France and represents the final requirement before they may graduate, the internship may not exceed a period of 24 weeks.
Internships
Télécom Paris’ engineering students may also choose to carry out internships abroad during their studies. Among the compulsory internships that can be done internationally: the human training course in first year and the engineering internship that usually closes training.
Summer internship (1 to 3 months)
During the summer between their second and third years, students have the opportunity to go abroad, which may count towards their mobility requirement. Projects must be approved by the Dean of Studies and the Director of International Relations. Preferred forms of mobility include internships in laboratories or companies and study abroad programs (e.g. Summer School).
Final project internship
To complete the engineering training at Télécom Paris, a « project » internship must be carried out. For a period of six months, this internship can be done in a research laboratory or in a company. This internship can be done abroad as part of the compulsory international mobility during the course.
