The first Student Research Workshop at VIASM in Hanoi, Viêt Nam, a resounding success!
Following the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed between VIASM (Viêt Nam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics) and IP Paris (Institut Polytechnique de Paris) on September 15, 2023,
The aim of the workshop was to introduce our research training opportunities, in computer science, data science and electrical engineering, at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris to high-potential Vietnamese undergraduate and postgraduate students who are considering pursuing graduate studies in a master’s or doctoral program. This will open up international career prospects in leading academic institutions or companies, and enable them to acquire, develop and practice research skills in the fields of computer science, data science and electrical engineering.
The program was rich, and student participation and exchanges lived up to everyone’s expectations.
We were delighted to welcome a total of 14 guest speakers, including 6 from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
Over 100 students registered, and almost 70 actively took part in the event. The « Research Proposal Competition » saw the submission of 22 research proposals, all with very promising ideas. We’re convinced that this enthusiasm will result in some brilliant candidates for the IP Paris PhD Track program this year.
