- Acoustic and Cognitive Spaces : signal processing and room acoustics applied to sound spatialization, virtual reality and multisensory human cognition
- Analysis of Musical Practices : contemporary musicology and study of creative processes
- Musical Representations : computer science (languages, real-time), machine learning, mathematics and systematic musicology applied to computer-aided composition, improvisation, human-computer co-creativity
- Sound Music Mouvement Interaction : HCI, real-time audio synthesis and multimodal cognition applied to human/sound interaction
- Sound Perception and Design : Psychoacoustics, sound cognition, applications in Sound Design
- Instrumental acoustics, control theory and signal processing for physical modeling of sound synthesis and processing
